A Message from Principal Rod Lowe

Welcome to Vallivue Middle School. Our staff is committed to assisting all students to achieve their intellectual, physical, social and emotional potential through skill-based, hands-on, brain-based lessons and continually participating in the latest research-based training.

This year our focus is preparing every student for college through standards-based lessons that create interaction amongst all students. We strive to place every student in classes that challenge and enhance their individual abilities through Benchmark data, ARTI, and BRTI meetings. Advanced classes in math, language arts, literature and science are offered. This year we have added a STEMS robotics lab, AVID and GEAR-UP programs. Our math intervention program is recognized by the State and the NWREL for improving student achievement amongst low performing students and this year we were awarded the 2012 Metlife NASSP Breakthrough Schools as one of 10 schools nationally in improving student achievement.

Vallivue Middle School is fortunate to have strong elective programs like music, band, and art to enrich students from all walks of life.

We are a uniform school. This policy has enhanced our school culture and improved the safety for all students socially. Our promotion policy to raise student accountability and success was used by the State Department as a model for other school districts to enhance student accountability. Our Veterans Day celebration and Career/College fair unites our community to VMS.  We invite you to visit our school and experience the excitement of learning at VMS.

We strive for excellence at Vallivue Middle School – Go Falcons!
